Default Asura Lore - New Fiction from NCSoft

This is pretty cool, I've always loved the GW lore so seeing this sort of thing really builds my anticipation for Eye of the North...

"NCsoft today releases a new fiction piece that delves into the background of the Asura race – with their magical abilities, challenging games and devastating war Golems"

thank you for the info

The Polymock master, an Asura named Hoff who lives in Rata Sum, is willing to instruct interested individuals in the basics of the game.

"While these refugees reached the surface in a variety of locations, the bulk of the exodus came up along the Tarnished Coast, across the Sea of Sorrows from the sunken remnants of Orr. Here they found abandoned ruins high in inherent magical energy—the perfect location for a race of magical researchers to settle and continue practicing their craft. "

LOL, I think this is what spawned the E3 snafu "you'll see the ruins of Orr."

Somebody needs to read the lore a bit more carefully... (unless the ruins really are Orr, and Gaile is just trying to deny it...)

I'm interested in this. Its possible these ruins are from the Mursaat citys after the Titans rampage.

Rata Sum, the largest of these settlements, sits at the western end of the massive canyon known as Riven Earth.
Nod towards the Mursaat there with Rata Sum

These Asura dont understand. We will be the ones manipulating and sacrefi-erm "helping" them

I'm pretty excited by the idea that we'll get to see the Mursaat again, I imagine infusion runs are going to get a bit pricey!

Somehow I don't think charred Mursaat corpses are going to be using any skills, let alone Spectral Agony. In case you forgot, the Mursaat were mostly wiped out by the Titans.

He means we probably wont be seeing any enemy mursaat due to the wipeout. Summon Mursaat is probably the only time we will see them and since they are allies i doubt they're gonna turn on us and spectal agony the party (unless they work like Minions in which if the one who summoned dies they turn rouge)
